TCS, COGNIZANT BAG IT DEALS FROM
UK's NETWORK RAIL

Tata Consultancy Services and Cognizant Technology Solutions have been selected by UK’s
Network Rail to provide a wide range of software and system integration services.
This is said to be a part of Network Rail’s strategy of implementing a structured multi-sourcing model to invest in "a customer-centric IT strategy"
over the next four years.
Financial details of the two contracts were not available
immediately. A PTI report citing sources said the TCS deal size
was worth over £350 million.
The TCS stock was trading marginally up at Rs 1,470.00 on
the BSE at 12.50 p.m. today.

Network Rail.The scope of Cognizant’s
partnership ranges from infrastructure to enterprise IT functions, as per a statement from the Nasdaq-listed company.It will also be responsible for
collaboration and management of Network Rail’s supply chain.
Network Rail owns and operates Britain's railway infrastructure,
which includes, the tracks,signals, tunnels and railway stations.
